Office accountant /administrator – south Shropshire
An experienced accounting and administration manager is required by Daysdrove Holdings Ltd to take responsibility for office functions for both the abattoir at Bishops Castle and the retail outlet at Church Stretton.
Based in Bishops Castle, this challenging role will include the on-going management and upgrade of all financial and office functions for the business, all aspects of accounting, and involvement with HACCP, BRC and other accreditation systems. The role will also include responsibility for invoicing and subsequent credit control, record-keeping for traceability, maintaining personnel files, organising the weekly/monthly payroll, dealing with customer enquiries, managing the company’s vehicles and submitting the monthly AWM grant claim. The successful applicant will work closely with General Manager David Palmer and Commercial Director Dan Morris, and will have the support of two part time staff.
The position will suit a confident self-starter with good organisation and communication skills, initiative and ambition. Computer literacy and accountancy experience is essential and some knowledge of the livestock industry preferred.
